Spring Update!
Kickstarter coming soon. More comics on the horizon!
Hello again! Thank you for reading this little update. I’ll try to be brief. I’ve been very unbalanced with my work and life lately, so I hope you’ll stick with me as I try to get some of this creative stuff out the door!
Update 1: Kickstarter for Part I coming soon!
The current plan is to get the first 100 comics into a book ready for print this month, and I’ll try to have the Kickstarter ready to go for July/August. That way in theory I can be shipping books to people before the end of the year. Getting the book ready for publication means editing over 100 pages, some writing, then design, layout and finally prepress production. Oh and most importantly picking a print house and format. I want to make it affordable, but I also want a really high-quality product.
If you are already subscribed to this newsletter then you will know the second anything is announced! This is the best way to stay informed on all things EB.
Update 2: Writing Part II
The next part of Existential Bread is currently outlined as a 6-issue comic series focusing on Roy the boy robot as he goes through some dramatic realizations and changes. I’m happy to report that Issue #1 is about half scripted, and should be done this month!
Production itself will probably take 6–9 months to sketch, letter, ink, and finally colour. I will be offering it in both print and digital formats, hopefully by this time next year. If each issue takes a full year, I’ll be printing the completed graphic novel some time in 2033!
Did I mention the series currently has five parts? George RR Martin, eat your heart out!
Update 3: Reruns of Part I on Instagram
