Part 1: About Part 1
Hello Substack…ers? Substack-ites? Substackians!
I began drawing these characters as art therapy in service of trauma recovery. Since 2022, I have published 102 comics on my website and Instagram, and I have completed the first “part” of the story.
I am going to be using this platform to document and share the next part of my comic project. I will post every couple of weeks or when I have some fun or interesting progress to share. Read on for more details. Thank you for reading!
The Book
I am currently working on print specifications and getting pricing for printing a small run of books. A book should cost between $30 and $80 depending on the size and if you want a softcover or hardcover book. I’m going to do large, hardcover books and cheaper, softcover graphic novel-sized books.
I will also be releasing it as a ‘pay-what-you-want’ PDF and eBook edition, so you can read it digitally at your convenience.
I should have some more details about the Kickstarter by early Spring!

The Next Adventure: Roy’s Story
I am moving forward with the second part of the series, which will focus on Roy’s journey. I am going to be doing it as a proper graphic novel, releasing it in six issues of around 32 pages each. I am hoping to have more announcements in future updates. If all goes well I have decades worth of content ahead of me, which is both terrifying and energizing.
